Wedding Weekend Looks: Spring Edition

The arrival of spring can only mean one thing at Shirley & Audrey - wedding season is here! And to help kick off our favorite time of the year, we’ve rounded up three complete looks for your big wedding weekend all inspired by Jane Austen (who heralded spring as a time for hope and renewal) and some of our favorite literary heroines (Elizabeth Bennet, anyone?). We love a springtime romance! We’ve pulled pieces we think will make a super chic bride for her rehearsal dinner, her wedding day, and the now-popular post wedding brunch and paired them with a few Shirley & Audrey accessories that will definitely put a spring in your bridal step!

  • We would love to see a bride wear this brand-of-the-moment Brock Collection bustier dress. Pair it with our Perla hair pins added to a slick low bun. Think Elizabeth Bennet meets downtown gal vibes. Stick with a pearlescent theme and add these Saskia Diez gold and pearl hoops and, this sweet “heart on your sleeve” bracelet without wearing sleeves, both of which can totally be dressed up or down after your big weekend. To finish your look, don a pair of super affordable Sam Edelman heels. Not only are these at an awesome price point, but they are also low enough to ensure you won’t kill your feet before the big day! Avoid achy feet altogether with Lord Jones CBD lotion. A-list celebrities from Olivia Wilde to Mandy Moore and stylists have been raving about this product for its ability to alleviate pain from wearing heels. High heels and no pain? We’re all about that!

  • To continue with this romanticism-era inspired wedding weekend look that is perfect for a spring wedding, we’d opt for a modern take on a traditional silhouette with this Nouvelle Amsale gown for the big day. While we normally lean towards relaxed silhouettes, we love the soft gathers on the bodice, the wide straps to ensure everything stays in place, and the air of romance. Personally, we think the soft gathers tie into the Brock Collection rehearsal look we pulled, giving you a cohesive wedding weekend theme. To add a bit of whimsy, we’d pair this gown with our Allegra hair vine. Wear it as a more traditional crown with a tousled updo and this BHLDN Sky Mist Veil to keep your look classic. Add a pump, like these white Marion Parke heels, with a feminine scalloped edge and a few modern pieces of jewelry, like these scattered diamond studs and this Malcolm Betts diamond and gold bracelet to complete the look.

  • For your post-nuptial brunch, we’d love to see an S&A bride rock a ladylike midi dress, like this Georgia Alice satin number. Sweep your post-wedding curls to the side with our sheer, organza Dahlia flower (just clip right into place!) for a sweet hairstyle that is classic and ultra feminine. Throw on a pair of leather and PVC heeled sandals to elevate the look and a white Rebecca Taylor leather jacket over your shoulders for a hint of edge to keep this look fresh and fun. And if you had a bit too much fun on your big day, these Garrett Leight sunnies will make your guests none the wiser. After all you’re still the blushing bride!

And now you’re ready to ride off into the sunset with your Mr. Darcy! 😉
